Lemon soda is a sparkling, non-alcoholic lemon soft drink made from carbonated water, sugar and lemon juice or flavouring, sometimes with a touch of lime. Its name varies by country: gassosa or limonata in Italy, lemonade in Britain, lemon-lime soda in the United States. The taste ranges from clean and sweet to sharper and more citrusy. In long drinks it lengthens and freshens the spirit, as in the Gin Lemon, the Blue Lagoon and the Tokyo Iced Tea.
