Cane syrup
- Syrups
- Non-alcoholic
Cane syrup is a thick sweetener made by filtering and reducing freshly pressed sugar cane juice over heat. In the French Caribbean, where it is called sirop de canne, many rum distilleries make their own; a similar tradition exists in Louisiana. It is light brown, with a fuller flavour than white sugar syrup. It is the sweetener of the Ti' Punch, where it softens white rhum agricole together with a disc of lime.
Used in 1 cocktail.
