Celery salt
- Other
- Non-alcoholic
Celery salt is a blend of salt and ground celery seed; a homemade version can also be made with the dried leaves of the plant. It gives savoury dishes a hint of celery without masking other flavours. In American cooking it is a key seasoning on the Chicago-style hot dog. In cocktails it is one of the long-standing seasonings of the Bloody Mary and the Virgin Mary, either stirred into the drink or used to salt the rim of the glass.
Used in 2 cocktails.
