Honey
- Syrups
- Non-alcoholic
Honey is the thick, sweet substance bees make by gathering and refining the nectar of flowers. It consists mainly of fructose and glucose, with about 17% water, and its colour, aroma and flavour change with the flowers the bees visit. Straight from the jar it dissolves poorly in cold liquids, so bars often thin it into a syrup. In the Canchánchara, an old Cuban drink with lime, it appears both neat and as a syrup.
