Allspice dram
- Liqueurs
- Alcoholic
Allspice dram, also called pimento dram, is a spiced liqueur made by steeping the dried, unripe berries of Pimenta dioica, a tree native to the West Indies, in rum, then sweetening and diluting the infusion. Associated with Jamaica, it tastes mainly of clove, black pepper and anise, with echoes of cinnamon and nutmeg. In tiki cocktails it is used in small measures, as in Three Dots and a Dash, where it adds warm spice.
Strength: usually 22.5% ABV (legal minimum 15%).

Falernum works
Falernum is sweeter and leans on lime, almond and ginger; in small amounts it gives a similar but milder spice, and the drink comes out a little sweeter.
