Citrus vodka
- Spirits
- Alcoholic
Citrus vodka is vodka flavoured with citrus, usually lemon or a blend of citrus fruits, using natural or artificial flavourings. Under EU rules it falls into the flavoured vodka category, which allows a predominant flavour. It is lightly sweetened and smells of fresh zest, with the clean, neutral body of ordinary vodka. In cocktails it adds a lemony note without extra liquid, as in the Cosmopolitan.
Strength: usually 40% ABV (legal minimum 37.5%).
Also known as: Lemon vodka, Vodka citron
Used in 1 cocktail.

Vodka works
Plain vodka lacks the lemon aroma, which you can recover with a twist of zest or a little more citrus juice.
