  • Alcoholic

Vodka is a spirit made from ethyl alcohol of agricultural origin, taken from grain, potatoes or other raw materials and processed to soften their aromatic character. Traditional across Eastern and Northern Europe, above all in Russia and Poland, it is now made worldwide. The taste is clean and close to neutral, with at most a trace of bread, pepper or sweetness. In cocktails it is the base that leaves room for the other ingredients, as in the Bloody Mary or the Black Russian.

Strength: usually 40% ABV (legal minimum 37.5%).

Used in 28 cocktails.
