Green crème de menthe

Green crème de menthe is a sweet mint liqueur made by flavouring alcohol with mint and sugar; its bright green comes from the leaves or, more often, from added colouring. It tastes essentially the same as the clear white version: fresh, intense and sugary, like a mint sweet. It is the choice when colour matters too, as in the Grasshopper with crème de cacao and cream, and it also appears in the Apotheke and the Mezcalibur.
