Lillet Blanc is a French wine-based aperitif made in Podensac, near Bordeaux, by the house founded in 1872 by the brothers Paul and Raymond Lillet. It blends about 85% Bordeaux white wines with 15% macerated fruit liqueurs, mostly citrus, and a light touch of quinine. It tastes soft and fruity, with notes of candied orange, honey and pine resin. In cocktails it stands in for the old Kina Lillet, in the Corpse Reviver #2, the Abbey and the Great Gatsby.
Strength: usually 17% ABV (legal minimum 14.5%).
