Peach schnapps is a clear, sweet peach liqueur, made by flavouring neutral spirit with peach and sugar. Despite the name, it has nothing to do with German Schnaps, which is a dry fruit brandy: it is a modern product that became fashionable in the 1980s. It tastes of ripe peach skin and candied fruit, with a pronounced sweetness. It is the fruity heart of the Sex on the Beach, alongside vodka, orange and cranberry juice.

Strength: usually 20% ABV (legal minimum 15%).
