Raspberry syrup

Raspberry syrup

  • Syrups
  • Non-alcoholic

Raspberry syrup is made by crushing raspberries and macerating them with sugar, then dissolving the mix with warm water and straining it; some recipes add a little vodka to help it keep. It tastes sweet and fruity, with the tartness of raspberry and a slightly jammy note. In cocktails it adds fruit and a pink colour, as in the Clover Club, a gin sour with egg white.

Used in 1 cocktail.
