The story

Origins

LegendA story passed down, not confirmed by the sources.

No historical information was found on the Beach Volley. The only recipe consulted is published by the Italian site Cucinare Meglio, signed by Stefano Moraschini: pineapple juice, rum and gin in equal parts, shaken and served in a wide goblet with pineapple and cherries. The name, a nod to the beach sport, suggests a summer drink for beach bars, but who created it, and when, is unknown. Another Italian recipe site lists a cocktail with the same name, but the page could not be accessed.
