Orgasm
Coffee, almond and cream.
Three liqueurs in equal parts: coffee, amaretto and Irish cream. Sweet, velvety and unpretentious, it is a dessert-style after-dinner drink, a child of the 1980s fashion for creamy cocktails.

The story
Origins
LegendA story passed down, not confirmed by the sources.
The Orgasm has no documented origin: neither its inventor nor its birthplace is known. It belongs to the wave of sweet, creamy drinks with provocative names that boomed in the 1980s, the same era as the Screaming Orgasm, which Difford's Guide counts among that decade's best-known cocktails and which becomes a plain Orgasm without vodka. Many recipes share the name; the most common combines coffee liqueur, amaretto and Irish cream, served on ice or layered as a shot. In 2004 the IBA added it to its official list under the most popular drinks, but dropped it in the 2011 revision.
