Ginger beer
- Mixers
- Non-alcoholic
Ginger beer is a sparkling ginger drink from England, once fermented with a yeast and a bacterium and therefore alcoholic; the kind used in cocktails is non-alcoholic. Compared with ginger ale it has a much more intense, spicy ginger character and is less sweet, so it stands up well to bold spirits and long drinks. Today it is made either by carbonation or by brewing and then reducing the alcohol. It is essential in the Moscow Mule, the Dark 'N' Stormy and the Mexican Mule.
Used in 4 cocktails.
