Passion fruit purée
- Fresh
- Non-alcoholic
Passion fruit purée is the pulp of the fruit, separated from the seeds and sieved into a thick, fragrant liquid. The plant is native to South America, from southern Brazil through Paraguay to northern Argentina, and purées are often made from the yellow variety, which is more acidic than the purple one. It tastes tart and tropical, with an intense, slightly musky aroma. In cocktails it brings acidity, body and fragrance, as in the Porn Star Martini and the IBA Tiki.
Used in 2 cocktails.
