How to make
- Chill a large cocktail glass.
- Pour the vanilla vodka into the shaker.
- Add the passion fruit liqueur.
- Add the passion fruit purée.
- Add the vanilla sugar.
- Fill the shaker with ice.
- Shake hard.
- Double strain into the chilled glass.
- Garnish with half a passion fruit and sugar.
- Serve with a shot of champagne on the side.

The Porn Star Martini is credited to bartender Douglas Ankrah, who by his own account came up with it in 2002 in Cape Town while working on his book Shaken and Stirred. It was first called the Maverick Martini, after a nightclub in that city. Back in London, Ankrah served it at Townhouse in Knightsbridge and gave it the provocative name we know, saying it looked like the drink a porn star would order. From 2003 it moved to LAB, a bar with the same owners, and from there it took over Britain: in 2018 it was named the UK's favourite cocktail.
