Mint
- Fresh
- Non-alcoholic
Mint is an aromatic herb of the genus Mentha; cocktails mostly use spearmint (Mentha spicata), gentler than peppermint, which has far more menthol, while some prefer Cuban yerba buena for the Mojito. The leaves have a fresh, sweet scent. They are muddled gently, without the stems, which add bitterness, as in the Mint Julep and the Jamaican Mojito, added whole to the Hugo, and used in sprigs as a fragrant garnish.
