Jamaican Mojito
A tropical take on Mojito.
A fruity Mojito twist with two rums, lime, mint, strawberries and pineapple, built in colourful layers. Sweeter and more tropical than the Cuban original.

The story
Origins
LegendA story passed down, not confirmed by the sources.
The Jamaican Mojito has no documented history and no recognised inventor. The name mostly expresses an idea: a Mojito shifted towards the flavours and rums of the English-speaking Caribbean. The Mixolopedia database describes it as a Jamaican, 'rasta flag' style variation of the Mojito, with white and dark rum, lime, cane sugar, mint, strawberries and pineapple arranged in layers. Other recipes published under the same name are completely different: a wine blog offers a version with ginger, Jamaican dark rum and soda, which its author says came about almost by accident during a quarantine. There is therefore no shared reference recipe.
