Soda water
- Mixers
- Non-alcoholic
Soda water is water made fizzy with carbon dioxide, with no sugar or flavouring; club soda also contains small amounts of added minerals, while seltzer is plain carbonated water. The method of carbonating water goes back to Joseph Priestley's experiments in 1767. It tastes neutral, faintly mineral. In cocktails it lengthens and lightens a drink without masking the other ingredients, as in the Americano, the Cinderella and the Florida.
