Golden Dream
Creamy, sunny, orange-kissed.
Galliano and triple sec meet orange juice and a touch of cream. The result is a soft, vanilla-scented after-dinner drink reminiscent of an orange-and-cream ice pop.

The story
Origins
LegendA story passed down, not confirmed by the sources.
The Golden Dream is commonly linked to Miami and the 1960s: according to the most quoted version, it was created at the Old King Bar by Raimundo Alvarez and dedicated to actress Joan Crawford, then spread along the US East Coast. These details, however, circulate almost only through Wikipedia and a popular article, without period documents, and the Joan Crawford dedication has no source at all. What is certain is that the drink, like the Golden Cadillac, belongs to the heyday of creamy Galliano cocktails in the 1960s and 1970s. The IBA long kept it on its list before dropping it in the 2024 update.
