Lemon juice

Lemon juice

  • Non-alcoholic

Lemon juice comes from the fruit of Citrus limon, a hybrid of citron and bitter orange probably native to India. It contains about 5–6% citric acid, which gives it a bright, sour taste. It is the most common souring agent in sours and in many classics, such as the Amaretto Sour, the Angelo Azzurro and the Aviation. Recipes normally mean freshly squeezed juice; compared with lime, it tends to make a drink taste slightly sweeter.
